I just watched a documentary about a woman and her husband who have had 13 pregnancy losses. It was very upsetting to listen to their story. They've had early and very late losses. However after an emergency section at 37 weeks we find out she has 3 healthy born children. The 13 losses were after she had her 3 daughters. What the hell were she and her husband thinking?! Why would you put your self through that trauma, risking your life when you have 3 children already. I couldn't believe what I was watching.
I can't make sense of it all!

Were they desperate for a boy after 3 girls? It sounds obsessive to go thru so many when you already have children: my Gran gave up after 6miscarriages & and 1 cot death & adopted. But it's their choice really. When teaching I had a child in my class whose Mum was told categorically any more children (she had 2 already) would have the same severe abnormality. She still had 2 more in quick succession.

I'm with you, op. That is madness and very distasteful.

I imagine it took its toll on the whole family, I wouldn't have done.
