Urghhhh not an AIBU but posting for traffic (no response in chat, my thread is too boring evidently!) as I'd like to purchase today.
Does anyone have experience using a Shark vacuum on hardwood floors?
If so which model do you have?
I currently get by with a combination of sweeping and mopping but I'd like to invest in a Shark after hearing all the great things
I was about to purchase the corded liftaway NV681UKT as it's on Amazon deal of the day. I can probably cope okay with a cord - some reviews state the corded ones are more powerful anyway.
However one of the reviewers says it's made hideous track marks on her oak floor

Most of the reviews don't state whether the vac is being used on carpet or hard flooring. I'm currently in the process of changing from carpet to wood/ polished floorboards throughout - only the stairs will remain carpeted.
I also have a prone-to-moulting (in winter?!) cat so I thought I'd cracked it with the superior pet version on offer today
Now I'm wondering if the cordless would be better. I really want to simplify and speed up the hoovering process - I don't want to be vacuuming gingerly in case I damage the floor!
Any help appreciated
