AIBU thinking it’s really wrong that a 9 year uses the word dick?

What does everyone think about a 9 year old calling his friend a dick? My son comes home all the time saying this friend calls him names and swears ect and today he has come home saying his friend has called him a dick and also put his hands around my sons neck.
This all happened because my son told on his friend for stealing some sweets from the sweet drawer!
This type of behaviour is unacceptable to me and especially for a 9 year old to do to an 8 year old and I wondered if it’s unreasonable to text the Mum to ask about this and tell her I’m not happy!?
FYI they have been friends since they were 5 but recently my son has stopped staying over because he doesn’t enjoy going as much and after tonight he doesn’t want to go round even for a couple of hours.

I would be more concerned about the hands around the neck thing. Obviously not ideal having kids use this as an insult but it’s easily done when they are exposed to more people when they are older.
I would be speaking to the mum about the hands round the neck

I'd be more concerned about the strangling, tbqh! That's fairly serious.

I think I would message the other Mum, phrasing it along the lines of "I heard that there was some conflict between the boys today and ds is very upset. Just wondering if you happened to see anything?"

Not ideal wording, but no doubt someone will come along with a good suggestion.
