Posting for traffic. Need to replace heavy Dyson as too heavy and on its last legs. Can anyone recommend a great cordless cleaner please?

We have a Dyson V8 that we absolutely love. Great range of attachments and can be used as a handheld or with longer attachments for carpets etc.

onlyonmumnet · 10/11/2018 16:48

Jumping on this bandwagon.

Also is this website the official one?www.sharkcordless.co.uk

BertramKibbler · 10/11/2018 16:49

I just got a v10, it’s brilliant

Sitranced · 10/11/2018 16:51

We've got a Vax slimsomethingorother. It's apparently on par with the Dyson so say reviews on YouTube.

Governoress86 · 10/11/2018 16:53

I bought the Gtech air ram for pets and I will never buy another brand again, it's brilliant.

The new Dyson cordless are brilliant, they weigh very little and work really well. Expensive, bu worth it

Yogagirl123 · 10/11/2018 17:00

I love my Gtech air ram, would recommend. Their customer service is fantastic too, based on my experience.

KitschBitch · 10/11/2018 17:37

Does the Grech one come with attachments for stairs, etc?

There's a Bosch one on hotukdeals which looks really good. £129

flumpybear · 10/11/2018 17:38

I want to buy one too - wall hanging to save in space - both hard and carpet floors

Thehop · 10/11/2018 17:39

I sold my fetch and the fusion when I got a shark. It’s astonishing.

Thehop · 10/11/2018 17:39

God sorry

Stupid auto correct

Gtech and dyson

Flowerpot2005 · 10/11/2018 17:43

I have the Gtech air ram, I bought the bundle so got the hand held hoover as well...OMG it's amazing! I've had Dyson which I loved & downgraded to a Hoover, that was a huge mistake.

The battery life isn't massive but it's extremely light & so easy to use that I tend to do lots of little hoovers rather than a huge one at weekend. I've got 2 cats & the non pet version works great.

Governoress86 · 10/11/2018 18:09

I bought the bundle with Gtech so you have to buy the hand held separate.

I paid £350 for the bundle and I got the cordless hoover, the hand held and spare filters and scented sticks that you put in them.

TheWernethWife · 10/11/2018 18:14

Gtech Airam for me as well. Have the pet one and its brilliant, bought the cordless vacuum and the hand held for £350. Had the builders in this week and one was so impressed that he used it every day. I told him not to buy his wife one for Christmas though, just buy one.

Flowerpot2005 · 10/11/2018 18:18

I paid £300 for both the hoover & handheld. It's still on their website with free delivery. I got it less than 24hrs after placing my order lol.

Crazyladee · 10/11/2018 18:19

After having a dyson cordless for a few years, I've just splashed out on a shark duo clean cordless lift away. It's £350 but there interest free installments option too.

The shark is absolutely brilliant and puts the dyson to shame. I have a mixture of wooden floors and carpet.

KitschBitch · 10/11/2018 18:24

Have hard floors and carpet, child with horrendous dust allergy so has to be powerful, which is why we've always had Dyson brand, however, I don't think they keep their suction power after a while.

don't buy the Bosch athlet, it was fab for a while then the handle had to be replaced in warranty so not a big issue but two weeks out of warranty the battery won't last more than 3 mins at a time, Bosch were rubbish at helping as it is out of warranty so pants for a £200 machine. think I will go for a shark next as I love having the cordless, has anyone had one for a couple of years to say if it's battery still works the same?

TheFaerieQueene · 10/11/2018 19:04

Shark duo clean. It is fabulous. The joint in the stick makes it v easy to vacuum underneath furniture. Get two battery packs!!

DavenotChas · 10/11/2018 19:10

Second the Bosch Athlet being a waste of time. Worked beautifully for a couple of months then failed to pick up despite keeping the filters clean. I even bought a spare (filter) so that I could wash between uses and always have a dry one ready.

I gave in and bought a dyson v8 total clean 6 months later which is far better and still going strong.

DavenotChas · 10/11/2018 19:12

^ I hoover daily by the way. The above makes it look like the place is filthy!

DeadCertain · 10/11/2018 19:13

Adore my Bosch Athlet - think it's amazing.

RhubarbAndCustards · 10/11/2018 19:29

Shark Liftaway cordless - it’s amazing!!! We have a dog and it’s so much better than our Dyson cordless .

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 11/11/2018 20:38
