To not meet my friend in London

My friend lives in London & I am about a 1 hour train ride away (into central then would have to get tubes/buses). I have my 1yo DD with me unexpectedly. I’ve taken her up to London a few times and it is such hassle. Now she’s bigger she just wants to crawl around isn’t settled at all in the buggy. AIBU to not meet her because I have DD? I’ve suggested coming to me. My friends don’t have kids yet so as understanding as they are I don’t feel like they 100% get the stress! I really want to see her though and don’t want to seem rude or like I don’t care

Could you meet half way?

Or ask her to come this time and say you will travel next time?

I totally get it, plus it is cold and rainy, you can tell her and suggested could come to you.

I went through a period of just saying no to people becasue my kids were at an age where it was just too much of a pain in the arse. It didn't last that long and i made sure I kept in touch with my friends. Not unreasonable, just make sure you explain and don't tell em they don't understand because they don't have kids.
