To ask you for advice on how to pop knee

My knee feels like it needs to 'pop'. I've tried bending and straightening it in seated position and lying down, squats, lunges and manipulating it with my hand. Nothing is working and it feels rather uncomfortable. I have hypermobility in my knees so don't want to do any twisting movements. Any ideas?

Just from my own experience, (and I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on the internet Grin ) I just try to forget about it, then I will move "just so" and it will just pop itself.
If I think about it, I get stressed and it hurts and I get all "chewed" over it, but if I can manage to distract myself, it will go on its own.

Thanks PomBear, since posting I've messed around with it gently a bit more and now my whole thigh has gone stiff, DH said I'm walking like a granny! It's a bit painful to bend/straighten after having it straight/bent for a while but otherwise just uncomfortable, have taken ibuprofen and keeping it slightly elevated in hopes it wears off.
