So at the printer, people start going home, lots of banter and shouts across the office. I go back to my desk in my new shoes that make great grown up clip cloppy sound on the floor. Look round and think ‘I’m a real proper grown up in my grown up professional job and my clip cloppy heels’

I’m 37, in a senior position and have worked in an office environment for 16 years....

I get that feeling when I'm standing scrubbing the dishes

We had a work night out last night. Our office junior brought me in a bar of chocolate this morning with a thank you note on it for getting her to the station and on her train home when she was tipsy.
It’s the first time I’ve ever felt like a responsible adult! 😂
