Can being sick from work impact me on Zero hours with mental health issues?

I know with regard to MH it is a protected disability.I am unsure what this means in regard to zero hours.Basically I have worked 55 hour weeks for 16 months.I suffer anxiety and depression which is moderate.Somethings have left me drained recently and my health is suffering not to mention my mood.Many years ago I suffered.a breakdown so I know self care is important.I feel sometime off would enable me to recharge sleep and prevent further decline.
As far as I k now..I'm on Zero hours.Can my manager give me less if I was off for a few days despite my faultless record?

Not an expert but I think the deal with a zero hours contract is that there are no fixed hours, so if your employer doesn't offer you any, they're entitled to do that (and you're entitled to not accept hours equally)

Whats your company policy on sick leave? Most companies just pay SSP anyway, so it's likely that's what you'll get regardless of how many hours you usually work.

We get enhanced sick pay apparently.Large company.I didn't realize it was zero hours when I signed as.Df just died and I assumed it was fulltime.I did see something about the company will not take responsibility regarding future hours which isn't a problem as I have savings and no mortgage.I
So I guess they are covering themselves regarding someone taking on a mortgage.

I thought a zero hours contract meant that you didn't have guaranteed hours. So your boss could offer you no hours or 5 hours per week or 60 hours per week. You either took the hours or you didnt. Also I didn't think they had to.pay sick pay or holiday pay as you are essentially a standby employee. That's the way it works in the NHS anyway. You don't work you dont get paid.

I get holiday pay and proper sick pay I even got compassionate leave paid at lower rate when df died.I need to check as it was a.colleague who told me we were in effect zero hours.I'm not worried about money so much as I don't want less hours now we have another staff member.
