To sell unwanted gifts

I received an (expensive for us) watch from my DH last year. I don't wear a watch, my DH knows this and I have never done. I am unlikely to start. I have not worn it once (still in packet) as I don't particularly like it. It's been over a year now, do I have to still keep it or can I sell it and buy something I really want?

Would you tell your H? My husband has occasionally bought me gifts that I would never wear and I told him immediately so. He was a bit put out but then came to the conclusion that they would be a waste of money just sitting in the wardrobe.

Told my H. He said he would be upset if I sold it. But its been over a year and I've not worn it. I am hardly going to start now.

Well I guess it depends on whether you want to upset him or not. I'd be a bit annoyed that he bought you something that he knows you won't use/wear. How much are we talking?
