I was collecting my son from creche and got stopped by one of his workers.

He's been hitting and kicking his teachers over the last few weeks.
A few weeks ago he even spat on one of them.

I'm absolutely devastated,i don't want him to be that child but I actually have no idea how to deal with this.

They said as soon as he does it hes even shocked at himself and extremely apologetic.
He'll be four in January and moving on to primary school next September. I can't have him continuing on like this

Did they not offer any advice? Do you have any idea what’s causing the behaviour? Is it a new behaviour? Has anything happened at home new sibling? Break up? Anything you can think of. Or has it been a long term issue? do you think there are additional needs or it’s just acting out?

At 4 I think I’d try talking to him and asking why he’s acting out, checking that everything is okay etc then I’d be focusing on rewarding all good behaviour with as much praise as possible, having a conversation about using gentle hands.
