To ask an acquaintance to stop sending random posts in Messenger?

A friend of MIL sends me (and probably lots of other people) random posts in Messenger - like the ones you would just share or repost on FB. It drives me mad. I know I can and should just ignore them but the badge app icon pops up and I think there’s a message to read and it’s just another bloomin’ random post. AIBU to ask her to stop? I don’t want to offend her but it’s just not the right forum IMO.

You can set it so you don’t get notifications off her when she messages you. Click on her name in messenger and click ignore messages. Job done.

You can mute people on messenger so you don't get notifications.

Thanks both - didn't know that - will give it a go.
