AIBU?

To open a bottle of wine

Feeling a bit down in the dumps today after hearing ex has now got a GF with a baby and is off playing happy families when he only sees our baby for 30 minutes a week.

As such, I really want a large glass of wine and some kettle chips.

Is this a bad idea of a pity party? Should I be doing something more like a HIIT workout instead?

How about one then the other?
Sorry to hear about the situation. You allowed to give yourself time to feel miserable before you dust yourself off, look at DC and in the mirror and acknowledge what a damn fine job you're doing WineThanks

I say go for it OP.

Wallowing in self pity is perfectly fine now and again.

Go for it and don't feel too bad. A person, who isn't a good father, will not be a good father to anyone's baby as his new GF's.

Do it! I often have an alcoholic drink if I've had a pants day..... like today.

It's Wednesday Wine Day.

Go for it. We have wine every Wednesday to cheers ourselves for getting mid way through the working week. Not sure if it's jolly or tragic, but there you go.

And I bet your baby is better than their baby.

@cheesefield that made me laugh out loud!

@Oobis I've put my pyjamas on now so one then the other just isn't an option tonight. What a shame. Not.

I'm sensing the general consensus is to wine

10 minutes HIIT, then some wine. Best of both worlds. Wink

I'm in my nightie with a glass of wine. And I've got no excuse

It disappoints me that it genuinely didn't occur to me that I could do both.

Fuck him!
It's easier on your own than with an unsupportive loser involved.
Besides, I highly doubt he is happy playing dad right now especially if the kid isn't his.

@Lifeisabeach09 apparently there are Facebook photos of them all happy. I've not seen them but a friend says she has. She assumed it was ex with DS until she looked closer and realised it was a different baby. And then a few photos in, very obviously, a different mum!

I want a bottle of beer but as my husband has a heart attack last week as he can't drink for the foreseeable future, it would be rather mean of me. I have been stuffing chocolate when he has been sleeping 😴

@tinytemper66 sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he recovers quickly!

In case anyone is dying to know..... I'm on the wine

The happier the Facebook photos the sooner the break up will happen.

Sitting, people always post the happy pics. Never the unhappy ones. Behind the happy facade, the reality is, usually, shit.
Enjoy your wine.
