What can I cook a pasta bake in? No Pyrex or oven dish!

DH wants a pasta bake. We have all the ingredients. Yummy.
But last time I cooked one I broke the oven dish! I keep forgetting to replace it. I have lots of other cooking stuff.
What's the next best thing to cook it in? Just posting for traffic as I was going to start cooking it soon.

Do you have anything that’s oven-proof? Casserole dish? Saucepan?

ipswichwitch · 03/11/2018 11:08

I’ve used a cake tin before

TulipsInBloom1 · 03/11/2018 11:09

Frying pan?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 03/11/2018 11:09

Anything oven proof that's big enough!

ApolloandDaphne · 03/11/2018 11:10

A deep baking tray will be fine?

PrincessTwilightStoleMyToddler · 03/11/2018 11:10

Roasting tin or cake tin?

schopenhauer · 03/11/2018 11:11

Can’t you nip to a supermarket and buy a Pyrex dish or similar? Depends how far away one is I guess.

If you don't have a deep enough baking tray try making a container out of foil (like a weaker version of the takeaway foil trays) and standing it on the shallow baking tray. Just use plenty of foil & maybe stick some string round it or prop it up with something like metal pastry cutters!

I have a pie dish and a cake baking tray. So both might work.

A stove-top pan would work provided it doesn't have plastic or wooden handles. If it does, could you remove the handles temporarily?

That's assuming you don't have cake tins, pyrex etc. What about your grill pan? That's OK if it's not so large as to impede air flow around it.
