Posting here for traffic, sorry.

I'm not going to go too much into detail because it might be outing, but I'm just so bloody sad.

A very elderly member of my family is pretty ill. She's been a constant in my life, an absolute legend. Up until a few weeks ago she was doing everything for herself. Now we've been told the fucking big C has came and is pretty much taking over.

I've never had to deal with this before, and I'm currently sitting with a gin and a very moody partner after a silly argument (he's sulking in the bedroom).

Love and kisses welcome. I need it!

ScreamingValenta · 02/11/2018 22:13

No advice to offer but sending you sympathy to go with your Gin. I hope you and your partner can make it up as it sounds like you need some real-life hugs and kisses.

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 02/11/2018 22:13

I'm crying already guys. I love Mumsnet for this. Gets a bad hype but people just need to look at this and see how helpful it is. (Gin makes me emotional). Thank you all. I can't stop thinking about her, lying in a bed. It's not her. She's strong, she's taught me everything I know! I'm so lucky I got her for this amount of time. Lots of people don't have that I guess.
