Not being invited to birthday party

It was my nephews first birthday yesterday, at the local pub.
I have a great relationship with my sister but no so much her husband. He only wanted a few of his family members there and a couple of friends. He's quite controlling.
Aibu to be annoyed I didn't get an invite?

I also have children the same age as my sister.

Yanbu. Your family. Even if you was unable to make it and they knew that, someone should have still asked
