Not knowing what to buy my student

Posting her for traffic really

One of my teenage students is about to undergo brain surgery to remove scar tissue that was causing him seizures. The effect of these seizures are great on his life. His mood, physical and mental abilities have all diminished.

I am going to get his a gift/parcel of gifts from his class as he is feeling isolated and misses school and his friends very much.

Any ideas what to put in it?

Thank you 😊

@watsmyname - what a lovely thing to do. I would suggest photos and messages from the class. Do you know how long he might be in hospital / away from school? Could you speak to friends and find out his interests? Something not too taxing to occupy him during his recovery period would go down well I am sure. Also favourite foods/snacks as he gets a bit better and can enjoy them.

Also bumping for you for the evening crowd Smile

I would get each classmate to make him a postcard with a message on it. That's better than one card because he can pick up and read individual ones when he has the energy.

A few packs of sweets or bars of chocolate?

Rubiks cube? Football or gaming magazine depending on what he's into?
