Halloween thread: last time you were really scared?

Woooo - as it’s the build to Halloween when was the last time you were really scared? (In a non threatening context)
Mine was watching the opening sequence of a new film called The Dark - very creepy

Decided to put Halloween the film on in the other day... shit myself at the title music and had to turn it off!

An hour ago, when the dog I’m fostering was chewing on my thumb. Fuck it hurts!

Other than that, watching the film, arachnophobia. I actually felt sick at parts and still hate spiders.

A couple of days ago when I opened the front door at work (you can’t see through it) and the new temp was standing right there on the other side. I must have jumped a foot in the air! I’m used to being the first one there in the morning and I’m glad he was at work early but still..... My boss almost cried with laughter when I told her.

When DD who was sorting through the Halloween stuff ahead of tomorrow’s fancy dress do placed a fake spider beside me.

Three months ago- I'd had a nightmare, woke up heart beating, catching my breath. That's okay- but when I woke, already disconcerted and scared, my ds was stood over me, staring at me and pointing.

I screamed blue murder ,clambered over my husband, away from my child (sacrificing my husband, abandoning my clearly possessed child) and threw a pillow in the general direction of the terror -my child- that I ran from .

I had a dream a fortnight ago where demons told me they were following me and I’m working from them...I need to stop listening to fucked up podcasts...

Last Sunday night. I was going to my bedroom from the bathroom in the dark when I suddenly heard and felt a sniff right by my face - it was DS2 standing in his bedroom doorway cos he wanted to go to the toilet.
He hasn't been in that particular room for long so I just wasn't expecting him to be there. I screamed right in his face! Luckily we both quickly recovered 😁
