AIBU to expect a courtesy car seat?

I bought a car seat which has been used for about 8month and the spin function is no longer functioning. Manufacturer wants to take it away to repair for “a few days” (don’t know how long a few days). I am now left with no car seat and will have to buy one just for the “few days”. I paid over £300 for this frigin seat! AIBU to expect them to provide me with something for the few days it’s away for repair?

I wouldn't expect them to provide you with a car seat, as once you have used it they would not be able to use it again, they wouldn't know if it had been in an accident. If they did that every time someone sent their car seat in for repair it wouldn't be financially viable. Can you not manage without the seat for a few days, if not could a friend or relative lend you one?

YANBU. I'd definitely insist on one

Bumblebee321 I see what you are saying however it still leaves me out of pocket 😡 can’t do without (have to drop off at nursery to go to work) and I don’t have any friends or family who have a spare seat suitable for dc age

Coincidently, I spoke to Britax today about a faulty seat. I was offered a loan seat, although a deposit was required.

So, yes, I'd expect one too.
