AIBU?

To go away for the night with Dh

I don’t know what to do! Me and Dh have booked a night in a hotel for tonight and we were really looking forward to shopping, eating out etc. We hardly ever go away.
Last Friday dd was sick in the night quite a lot and we put it down to her being overly tired as has happened before. She’s fine now.
But then last night ds was sick in the night (he’s 18 if that makes any difference) he says it came on very suddenly.
Now I don’t know what to do. Do I go and hope we don’t get ill on our one night away or should we stay at home? I really want to go but I’d hate to be ill in a hotel then have to travel back while unwell (about an hour away from home)

Just go. At least you'll be puking in luxury.

Go.

If you stay home and are fine, you'll be really cross that you missed out.

I think I would go. Yes, it's horrible to be ill and have to travel home but it would be a worse feeling to cancel and end up fine. If it took a few days for your DS to be ill then it might be the weekend if either of you are going to show symptoms. Or you could both avoid it entirely.

Unless your DS is meant to be the one babysitting tonight and you've noone else to ask I would just go and fingers crossed.

OK we’ve decided to go. I hope to God we don’t get it!
The babysitter (MIL) isn’t bothered, she said she’ll just use the separate bathroom!

It was ok.. I couldn’t stop thinking I was getting the bug. I didn’t but ended up sleeping about 11 hours!
