Aibu to ask about progesterone levels?

So I've recently been having blood tests to look at progesterone levels. I had my progesterone levels checked on day 7- 0.3 and day 21- 17.8. When I called the receptionist to ask for results she just said it was 'normal'. But also told me previous tests where day 21 was 3.4 was 'normal'. I couldn't get a Dr appointment till next week but it's weighing on my mind. Can anyone explain?

I assume that you are having fertility investigations? A test done 7 days before your period should give a result of more than 30 nmol/L if you ovulated that month. But it's easy to miss that peak, particularly if you have erratic periods, which could explains the 17.8 reading. 3.4 nmol/L would suggest either the timing was badly wrong or you didn't ovulate that month - which can happen occasionally without it being a sign of something wrong. I think in your case there's no cause for worry but I'd suggest that you try again and see if you can time it better.

Sorry, meant to say to check your units are the same as the ones I've given - I know different labs use different units and therefore the threshold levels are different - for example in the US a level of 4 ng/mL is considered ovulatory.
