I've just been reading the list...Ian Botham, for sporting prowess and charity work...yep fine. Jane Tomlinson, cancer activist and sufferer, fine. David Starkey, for introducing the country to history, fine.

NICKY CLARKE, hairdresser? WTF? What has he ever done for the community, mankind, anything? That has just undone all the good work that the other honours did in my book! He may have done some good, in which case I'm sure someone will correct me, but other than flog what was one of the first upmarket shampoos, what has the guy actually done to deserve an 'honour'?

And there's poor gorgeous David Beckham, who surely deserves a knighthood for his lovely legs, left out in the cold again

seriously though that is slightly scraping the barrel.
