AIBU?
The Haunting of Hill House *Spoiler warning*

AIBU to ask if anyone else shit their pants at this series? Watched the last episode last night.
Can I just say the car scene, with Theo and Shirley... I actually jumped and shrieked like a demented cat.
Cassiopeia13 · 23/10/2018 11:19
Yes! Finished it last night also and that was the only jump scare in the entire series that actually got me. What did you think of the end??
BlooperReel · 23/10/2018 11:22
I got a bit teary at the end! I am glad it wrapped a lot of things up that I'd been questioning, I hate unanswered questions.
That was the biggest scare bit for me, most of the time you can tell a scary/jumpy bit is coming, that one got me out of nowhere.
WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 23/10/2018 11:51
I really really want to watch this show but I am an utter scaredy cat, I got scared after watching American Horror Story! How scary is this...?
YouBetterWOooOooOoo · 23/10/2018 11:57
Spoilers to follow! - what got me was when you'd be watching a scene in the house between characters and you'd catch faces and ghostly shadows lurking in the background. The place was constantly haunted! There's an online article pointing them all out. I also found the twist with what happened to Nell very sad.
Excellent tv and characters were all well written. Mainly jump scares and some suspense.
Cassiopeia13 · 23/10/2018 12:04
Its scary in a different way to American Horror, the plots really strong though compared to most horror things! The scene where the explained the Nell thing was my favourite

I enjoyed it. Was amazed how well the mum looks still, she was in the Bon Jovi 'Always' video.
ofshoes · 23/10/2018 12:12
It was brilliant. I'm tempted to watch it again to try to spot more lurking spook faces in the background, the director has said that there are loads hidden
BlooperReel · 23/10/2018 13:20
Yes the lurking faces creeped me out, when the dad was in the basement with the mould, there was one near him that made me jump massively!
