To want to change my name ?!?!

My mum wanted to call me a different name when I was born, but my dad insisted on my actual name, let’s pretend it was Imogen, so I was called Imogen.

My mum just told me the reason why my dad was so insistent on this name... apparently my dad had an affair with a woman called Imogen when he was married to his ex. Dad didn’t tell my mum this until I was older.

I mean... wtf??

Keep your name and ditch your dad?

That’s seriously creepy and wrong but only change it if you genuinely don’t like the name. His behaviour sounds dreadful. Sorry.

My friend had an affair with a woman a few years back. Lets say friend is called 'Dave'.

Woman got married a year or so later and called her child (with her new husband!) 'Dave', in tribute 😳🙄

I’m glad it’s not just me that thinks it’s weird.
