To expect street 'performers' to have some actual skills?

We wandered by the South Bank today, and I was at the number and quality of the performers. Surely if you are trying to earn money by standing still, you should actually succeed at standing still?

I don't even know what to say about the blokes who appeared to be charging money to let people pet their lizards and snakes.

I agree with VisciousSquirrel - and will go to the barricades to prevent council auditionong of performance on the streets!

Better a bad performer on the streets than un-pooped-scooped dogs!

And definitely an interesting-blinker rather than un-poop-scooped pooches!

To be fair, he was a bit of an aggressive busker. The one time he managed it, I was busy dealing with a toddling DS2, and looked up to find him approaching strangers with his palm held out for cash .

Yes, skerriesmum, that's the harmonica lady. It used to really depress one of my friends, that she played so much but never seemed to get better at it. Or even good. Did you know the guy at Guy metro who sung operatically about GST?
