DS1 in yr3 has a long history of acting up in school (pretty much since day 1 in reception, can't remember if he did at nursery, perhaps I've blanked it as a bad memory?!) including shouting out in class, fidgeting, not listening when told to stop something, distracting other children, answering his teacher back. He's like this at home too with added lashing out at me, his dad and brother. Schools have tried various strategies and I thought last term we were getting somewhere as they said this term they'd start further assessments but as far as I can work out nothing has even though I am having at least one call a week to let me know about his unacceptable behaviour. We had a bad weekend last weekend so Monday morning I call school leaving message for the Senco, Monday afternoon I do pick up to get called over by ds2's teacher about his behaviour and I cry in the playground out of exasperation / exhaustion (She knows DS1 and history). She says she'll get the Head to call me. Today I miss a call from DS1 teacher about his behaviour again but didn't catch him before he left. The school office got me in tears too today. Was it so much to expect someone to call me to try and help earlier in the week?? The school has an informal drop in for 15 mins each morning before bell so I'm going in to try again to speak to someone tomorrow but suspect I will just cry.
