I work Monday to Thursday and today is my day off. The house is a tip from top to bottom. Washing overflowing in the basket. All I feel like doing today is dragging my duvet and pillow down and laying on the sofa watching TV.
My two DDs are at school and DH is at work.

It's what I feel like doing but feel very guilty knowing that I should be cleaning and tidying while everyone else is working.

Do it

That's what I am doing

But I cleaned yesterday & it's raining outside so can't get washing dried

ellis65 · 15/06/2007 11:33

Sparkler · 15/06/2007 11:34

I think enjoy the time to yourself, you can do housework later

Piffle · 15/06/2007 11:35

I'm practising for wimbledon as well

ellis65 · 15/06/2007 11:37

On my day off i do something for myself, like catch up on some sleep!! then run round like a blue arsed flea before kids come home from school, i tend to find i get more done that way and a lot more satisfaction, it doesn't seem such a chore!!

NDP - don't show me that!!! I feel like I should be doing something now.

Right I'm off before I change my mind. Just told DH on MSN to phone me at 2pm just in case I fall asleep on the sofa and poor DD2 gets left at school waiting for mummy. Don't have to worry about DD1 today - she's off to her friends house for a sleepover.

I need to get off my arse and do some more, but that's the trouble when you sit down half way through, you very rarely feel like getting back up again

Bouncingturtle · 15/06/2007 11:53

nomdeplume - how many bathrooms are there in your house?!

Bouncingturtle · 15/06/2007 15:17

Right it's gone 3pm, get off you arse and do some housework you lazy mare

Sparkler · 15/06/2007 15:32

Well I did it. Got the duvet and laid on sofa watching TV. Didn't watch much TV though - I fell asleep for about 45 mins but jumped awake thinking I was late for school run. I'm still feeling tired though. Hope I'm not sickening for something.

Just off to try and get some of this house looking respectable now, although would quite happily climb into bed for the night now.

No wonder you can't be arsed, Sparkler. You would appear to have a surfeit of bathrooms, for one thing!

Sparkler · 15/06/2007 16:02

Desiderata that was NDP's list -

Friday's my day off too. I usually blitz the house, while waiting fro online shopping to arrive before making dinner and going to allotment or pottering in garden, befire rushing up to schoolpick-up.
Today I was quite thrilled cos ds1 was a bit poorly - thereby giving me carte blanche to lie on sofa, eating cake and watching Godzilla with him. It's been fab!

Desiderata · 15/06/2007 16:52

Sorry Sparkler! I wasn't paying attention at all there

Well anyway, I hope you didn't end up doing too much!
