To feel excluded from family party

I am a woman and I have not been included in an ‘event’ organised by an in-law to celebrate something. I am devastated. My partner of 15 years and father of my secondary school child, approached family member but was rebuffed. They spoke about numbers etc. and pointed out no other in-laws i.e. male wasn’t included either.
The man who is excluded is exactly the same relation to the party organiser as me but told his partner he will be annoyed if I ‘kick off’ as they might then be obliged to invite him and doesn’t want to go.
My partner is pissed off and said “while he would have organised things differently ...”he feels he needs to go.
Will I be a prat if I moan given the male relative doesn’t care?

Most people include long-standing partners especially of family, in events.
Like so much of AIBU, you’re not unreasonable to feel excluded but if you ‘kick off’ you might look a prat as you say.
