Fire safety in rental

Aibu to ask my landlord to put in a bottom window opener on ground floor flat.
At the moment it's just 2 small opening top windows far too small to crawl through.

This is the bedroom by the way.

Knowing most landlords he wont be keen to spend £, but you can try. If he says no keep a brick somewhere just in case.
