Sorry for enticing headline! It’s a bit ‘how long is a piece of string’ this question but we have just bought a house and most of the rooms need replastering. A family friend has just quoted us £2.5k for just the hallway, stairs and landing?! To me that seems insane. Would love to know thoughts. It’s an old Victorian house and walls were probably plastered about 15 years ago.

Mine was 950 for a 4x4 m kitchen. Down to bare brick.

Depends on the size of the hallway stairs and landing I guess

I'm in the northwest and live in a small ish semi, we paid 900 for our h,s&L and £750 for the living room. That was a total mess before the work started so was a big job!

No way, unless its a listed building and needs specialist restoration work.

Get another quote and you’ll soon know.

Depends if it needs fully replastered (ie back to the brick) or just skimmed.
