To not work my full notice period

I have just been offered a new job. I strongly dislike my current job. I have accepted the new job and want to start ASAP. However...my contract for my current job stipulates 1 months notice. BUT....my employer has ignored several points in the contract herself. E.g. it says I will receive contractual sick pay up to 6 days a year. She has refused to pay and sick pay.
Therefore, if she has already broken the terms of the contract would the contract be considered void and therefore I would not be expected to fulfil my obligations and offer the required notice period? I would like to offer 1 week as the statutory notice period.
Is this unreasonable? Should I comply with the contract even though she has not?

Do you need a reference from them at this point? Do you have holiday you can add in notice period ?

@starlight....don’t need the reference right now...but mightnin the future I guess. I have enough holiday to make it 3 weeks, maybe.

I guess you alone can decide if it’s worth the risk for 2 extra weeks.

You could also ask to be released from contact early.

Or sit there knowing the end is in sight and every time something happens know you will be in a new happier place
