I'd love the 25 experience s but aren't sure if it would be as nice to go alone. Hubby would have kids and we aren't going with friends.

Alone is good. Sleep, chill, relax, swim, eat all in lovely warmth and delicious smells. But I guess I depends if you like your own company or not.

I love it alone, take a book, properly unwind. Which one are you going to?

Marble179 · 15/10/2018 00:15

Sherwood forest. I tend to feel self conscious alone and even paranoid/vulnerable if there is noone else around. Alone sounds nice in theory though and I'm considering it but need a bit of convincing Grin

I'm a bit like you and feel very self conscious alone, however this is one spa I would go to on my own. Enough rooms so you don't get bored, plus lots of areas to relax so you can read a book/magazine or have a doze (they have, or used to at least, a lovely balcony area with loungers and furry blankets - I always fell asleep there). You might feel a bit self conscious eating alone but if you have your book at the table you can always read and eat which feels less awkward!

It will be glorious!

It's the best way - total relaxation! I live near there and favour Eden Hall - all day long, lunch and often younger a deal for around £80 ish depending on the day you want to visit

I’ve been to the whinfell one a few times on my own, it was great. I went to the cafe first, had a nice lunch and got a plastic cup of wine to take into the spa. I then read my book and popped in and out of the pool and spa rooms.

I’ve been alone before, and it’s absolutely fine. You won’t be the only one. Another year we used the kids club, who had a special session that the children could go to while you were at the spa - so DH and I could go together. Is that an option? He enjoyed it a lot more than he thought he would!

I’ve been alone before - in fact I’ve only once had company on such outings (probably done into double digits alone over the years).

Take a book, relax, swim, enjoy the treatments, read the trashy mags, drink lots of water, relax....

Sometimes others alone or in small groups will chat to you, other times let you alone. But I’ve never had a problem doing it alone! Relaxation is the aim of the game after all!!

I wouldn’t want to take anyone!

It’s blissful on your own.
