Has MOD copied COY’s jewellery designs?

Is it me or has Mother Of Daughters totally copied Cult of Youth’s designs for her new jewellery range?

I doubt MOD had a hand in the design process, but yes they are identical.

What’s she doing putting her name to a jewellery range anyway?

They are incredibly similar but that doesn't necessarily mean they've been copied. It's such a basic, rather common, idea/style it's perfectly plausible to have hundreds of people coming up with the same design.

That doesn't mean they weren't copied but it's just as likely they weren't!

Yeh they look identical to me and MOD has worn COY jewellery in past and has followed COY for years on Instagram (I noticed MODs now unfollowed her though). All very odd and the apology and retraction from MOD was frosty at best.

Yes def agree that moon shapes are totally ubiquitous (and can be bought anywhere), but look at the two designs next to each other!

As I understand it MOD and COY know each other so that also changes things if that’s the case

MODs withdrawal and RJ’s are both on their insta pages. MOD has turned off comments. Feel sorry for COY think she got a lot of abuse in those comments from people who clearly hadn’t seen both designs or understood the fact the two women seem to know each other

Thanks @MissHenty Ah, I have seen now. Given that COY and MOD knew each other, that makes it even worse IMO. I think MOD is being totally disingenuous in her post, too. One would be aware of that style of jewellery even if only via osmosis... that said i suppose it's actually tricky to come up with anything totally original these days. So much samey stuff everywhere you look.

Wow, they are so similar. I like MOD a lot, but this seems like a pretty blatant copy.
