if it was Craig sitting next to him instead of Shirley?

I just think if it was a man next to him, he would be showing more respect, and wouldn't be making the man duck out of the way every two seconds and totally invading their space. I don't dislike him, but this is really starting to annoy me. AIBU?

He did exactly the same when Len sat next to him, so nothing to do with Shirley being a woman.

Really? I've never noticed it before, maybe just me then!

Exactly.

There's not a jot of difference in how he behaved next to Len.

Is there ANYTHING people won’t try to claim is an example of sexism?

ilovesooty · 14/10/2018 19:49

He's always done it whoever was sitting next to him. Hmm

Weetabixandshreddies · 14/10/2018 19:50

He did exactly the same when he sat next to Len.

annikin · 14/10/2018 20:02

OK, I stand corrected! I didn't watch when he sat next to Len, and I just couldn't imagine him doing it sitting next to Craig, but maybe he just does it to everyone. Still think it's rude though!

He's attention-seeking. The sex / age / race / religious beliefs / sexual orientation / dress sense / dancing ability of his neighbour is irrelevant.
