To be panicking about a head fling?!

Am I worrying over nothing - trying to do a million things with my 3 year old and 3 month old. Was holding 3 month old over my shoulder and she flung her head back suddenly before I could stop her and she screamed and started crying really hard.

She’s ok now and dozing off but could I have done her some damage?! Not sure if she’s hurt herself or just gave herself a fright.

I feel terrible! She just suddenly flung back and her head flopped back. Shit!! Happened in a second- what shall I do?!

Oh love, I wouldn’t worry overly. One of mine did very similar when he was that age, younger maybe. It’s probable that your baby just got a fright. They like to feel secure all the time, but their movements (being uncontrolled) are likely to freak them out at times. If you are still worried though please don’t hesitate to call out of hours and they can I’m sure reassure you. She didn’t bang her head so I am sure it should be fine. It’s scary though. X

As long as she is settled now I don't think there's much harm done.
If she threw it back herself it could only have gone with her own force iyswim if you had swung her head back I would worry more.
Maybe keep an eye on her for your own piece of mind
If she sleep/feeds/settles fine she is ok don't beat yourself up xx

Ooh I remember both my DS's doing that.
They both got to a 'fling back' stage that scared the absolute shit out of me.

I also remember telling DH to support his back and him not doing it and me getting really angry with him because I knew DS was at a 'fling back' stage.

She'll be fine, I'm sure.

You poor thing! She will be just fine. She have herself a fright! She probably had a feeling as though she were falling and it scared her.
