To detest hotels

No one else I have spoken to seems to understand, but I absolutely hate hotels.
Especially staying in hotels with kids.
They all see it as some kind of luxury but I must be going wrong somewhere.
Every single time I stay in a hotel I feel sick all night long. I don’t know if it’s eating too much, too late at night, or just the heat of hotels, or the sitting doing nothing after eating so your dinner just sits in the bottom of your stomach.
So coupled with feeling like I’m going to throw up every single time, you also have to sleep in a room that is basically a furnace it is that hot. And the windows only open 1cm.
Then is the task of getting 2 preschoolers to sleep when they are mere inches away from you. They cry, wriggle, scream, get worked up, and then when they do eventually fall asleep they talk, fart, toss and turn and cry in their sleep.
Oh and the whole keeping milk cold when there are no in room fridges and then finding a bar to heat it up is another pain in the arse. Last night it was heated up to approximately 200 degrees while the baby sat screaming for it for 20 minutes.
The rooms are pitch black so you’ve not got a clue whether it’s 2am or 8am.
People walk past your room all night long, often with suitcases and banging doors.
So last night in a hotel on a rare night away I had approximately 2 hours sleep.
Does anyone else actually find it enjoyable?
On a plus note, the breakfast was amazing!

Oh, and the going for a wee in the middle of the night, unable to turn on any lights and the room basically being a cave with not even moon light, resulting in a really painful stubbed toe, really added to the experience.
There must be some seasoned hotel goers with some tips!
