Having the looks of a young, pre-surgery looks of Jordan/Kate Price and the voice that could be mistaken for Adele?

With Adele, who by the way I think is absolutely stunningly beautiful, you sort of get what you hear. A soulful looking larger woman with a voice to match.

But with Jess, you get the voice and picture Adele. Then see her face and you’re like, WTF? She’s Jordan circa 1997!

No, you misunderstand me. Sorry, I probably didn’t phrase it well. I think Adele’s looks are also part of her success. She is a beauty but not in the conventional skinny minny pop star sense. You are taken by her physical beauty which goes against the norms of the Ariana’s and Taylor Swifts of the world. And she has a deep husky soulful voice to match.

But Jess, well, you’re intrigued by a similar voice but then you see what she looks like which is the spit of a young Jordan! Honestly. If you don’t believe me, google Jordan circa 90’s. If I knew how to link I would.

Jess Glyn isn't husky! She's forever whooping round up high. I think she looks like Margaret the lesbian from Brookside. Or maybe Isla fisher with curls. Nothing like Jordan imo.

I think she’s successful because her voice is ok and she’s fairly forgettable tbh... her collaborations sound like songs of the people she’s collaborating with rather than hers.

Oh wow I don't think I've seen photos of Jordan from that far back before. They do look similar.

Jess Glyn has sung some catchy tunes.. hence her success... I couldn't tell you what she looks like.. because Top of the Pops is not longer with us ..

Angelo, me too. I can't stand her voice. Her songs are boring too. I always change stations when I hear her voice. She looks just ok.

Well she certainly isn't famous for her sparkling conversational skills. Heard her launch her new single on Radio 2 yesterday - she couldn't have sounded more bored or boring! Worst 'I can't be arsed' drone ever.

Jess has a lot of auto tune which annoys me. I don't think she's that pretty but she has a great figure. I love her hair too.

I agree OP she does look like Katie Price when KP was about 16 - KP looked lovely - such a shame what she did to herself.
I also heard Jess promote her single on Radio 2 breakfast show a few mornings ago and agree with the PP she was very full. Single was okay but nothing special.

I'm not a huge fan, but I happened to catch her live at a festival this last summer - and she was absolutely amazing! Great voice (better than her recorded stuff, I thought), really fun and engaging with the audience - she was fab!
it helped that her band were outstanding too.

I think she is successful due to being in the right place at the right time, I'm sure she would say so herself. She looks great and sounds great, and good luck to her.
