To not know if I should be worried about this?

I've been experiencing light bleeding for 5 days mid cycle with some abdominal pain. I'm freaking out a bit as I've just had a big clot. Like 1.5 cm by 3 cm (ish I didn't measure) I don't know if I should actually be worried about this or if I'm just being a bit dramatic I felt shocked to see it. So a bit of an AIBU.

The pain was on my right side where I normally get ovulation pain if it's that side's turn! The pain doesn't get worse to touch. This has eased off now though.

The bleeding was a bit clotty but still light to start with if that makes any sense. Then became a bloody discharge but has become slightly worse this again. My periods are heavy but regular 28 / 30 day cycle I've never had mid cycle bleeding before. I do get a bit of ovulation pain each month but never bleeding or ongoing pain.
I'm otherwise feeling OK. I did an ovulation test and it says I'm ovulating which seems right as I'm day 16 of my cycle today. (I track on clue app). Did a pregnancy test which was negative.

Should I be worried about this?
I wondered if anyone had experienced ovulation bleeding before? Or maybe had bleeding like this with something else? I'm reluctant to Google because I'm afraid it will be a cancer symptom. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Book a doctor appointment. Asking for medical advice online is never a good idea

Yes your probably right. Just it can be hard to get an appointment and I'm not sure if they will just think it's no big deal and I'm wasting their time.

If you’re worried then do it otherwise you’ll just keep winding yourself up

It might be quicker to go to a GUM clinic. This is their area while waiting to see the GP. You might need referring.

Have you tried a pregnancy test?

Aaaahfuck · 10/10/2018 14:12

Yes I did a pregnancy test and it was negative.
