I will need to check DH approves too. He won't mind the mat as such, but I better make sure he likes the design too I suppose.

I find mat quality not what is was (old gimmer) but as this is for such a short time (I won't actually start using it until 1st December) I suppose that doesn't matter much.

As I said, I have no ideas where these mats came from (all different places). The black one I just checked - Walmart apparently! - so that's out as I am in UK

I had a Christmas one at my old house. Kept it out all year cause I'm a slob can't remember where it came from but it was a UK shop, probably a supermarket or maybe Dunelm or similar.

If it's a double glazed UPVC these won't work, but if it's a wood door there may be a solution, Google for over door wreath hook or over door wreath hanger.

The only thing is you'll need to fix the wreath securely or someone could just lift the wreath off.

I use them indoors for wreaths of dried natural festive things and bells.

A few years ago I saw a doormat like this, in London, but at the home of a lovely Irish family!

I loop a piece of strong yarn around my wreath so it's doubled up, pass the yarn over the top of the door and tie to either a nail in the inside of the door or around the door handle for a glass door. We've moved a lot and it's worked at every house so far. If you're careful about yarn colour or use that clear fishing line you can't even see it.

Haha go for it, it bought Christmas bedding for my Stepdaughters beds in July. DP thought I had gone mad but I didn't have Christmas growing up so I'm now going full tilt at it lol.
