it's taken me over a week to join mumsnet & remember passwords & stuff, now am on chat room, feel intimidated by all abbreviations & links used, don't know what anything means
(just on the internet not life in general!), can anyone enlighten me, then i can join in some of the chats?
Thank you

lucy dont worry, it takes a while to get used to them. have a look on the acronym list (under useful stuff towards top of the page) that will give you a list of abbreviations, if there are any that you are still unsure of then just ask. With regards to chat, just jumpin where you want.

Any problems just give someone a shout or MNHQ

for abbreviations click on acronym list at top.

Links is just to bring up another webpage to prove point/show picture or similar. You get the hang of them after a while.

Navigting around - easiest way is to click on active conversations at the top. Tick the box that says without buying/selling if not interested in adverts. That'll bring up last 60 threads. Click on the titles of any that look interesting and dive in.

Remember threads read from the bottom up.

You've obviously worked out how to start a thread (hey you're ahead of the game already ).

Welcome and good luck.
