Any cast iron fans here? I have a new skillet (sounds healthier than a frying pan) and I am having trouble with seasoning it. It came "pre seasoned" but I realise that is just a start and it will need more than that to have a really good surface.
So I have been oiling it on the hob - very high heat/oil/bake/cool but there is a patch in the center that doesn't seem to "take".
I've got it face down in the oven now.
Do I just keep going or is there something I am missing?
