Why do so many women blame women?
LifeInPlastic · 04/10/2018 10:26
Just that really. I see so many threads on here, but when you look at the detail of the post it’s really DH, DB, DDad, etc’s the OP should have an issue with, but it’s always ‘DSIL, DM, DMIL, OW’ etc who gets the blame. This comes across on micro and macro levels (I don’t want to turn this into a Kavanaugh debate, but I’ve seen posters do it there too) and in real life. (The behaviours of some women in workplaces appals me.).
Why do some (a lot) of women do this? Surely it just keeps holding us back from true equality, playing into a chauvinist narrative.
*obviously there are exceptions here, but there is definitely a noticeable pattern.

You are blaming women for appalling behaviour in the workplace and for "blaming other women".

People behave well or badly. Some are nice, some are not. We blame who we, according to our own attitude and sense of responsibility, think is at fault. We rarely, (nowadays anyway), blame ourselves.
