to ask which Premier Inn is nicest in Cambridge?

Hello!

Can I be a CF and ask if anyone has stayed in any of the Premier Inns in Cambridge and could tell me which is the nicest/best? They're very similar in price. We would have a family room with a travel cot - sometimes they can be a bit pinched for space hence the desire for recommendations

Thanks Smile

What do you need? Parking? Walking distance to the city? Quiet? Which ones are you looking at?

I've not looked too closely at what we will be doing there, but we have two children so i guess not too far from some nice things to do. We will need parking - sorry I assumed they all would have that - we have a blue badge. The quieter the better I guess as we will all be in together so don't need anyone getting woken up by anything. The Premier Inn on the A14 seems like there might be road noise?

Otherwise there's the North Girton one, or the City East...?

The Girton one (Huntingdon road) is fine but not sure how big the rooms are - there was just me staying and the room was on the small side (and no bath - great for me, but not so good with kids.) There was no road noise (was there just last week.)

Premier inn A14 is pretty well insulated against road noise, has good food and parking. The one on Newmarket road does not have parking, as I understand it.

I don't know them sorry, but make sure whichever one you choose has air con, we stayed in one without and it was horrendously stuffy.

Thanks for all the tips! really helpful.

Out of the three I would choose the Girton one as the a14 one is literally adjacent to the carriageway although a PP says it's insulated. The city one has no parking although not sure if it has any blue badge spaces. No long stay parking nearby either. But that one is the easiest to walk into town. The Girton one is not near any activities really but with your blue badge you can worry less about city parking prices!

Buses from the Girton one would be excellent too

Spinner2018g · 03/10/2018 14:33

There are loads of road works on the A14 beware there may be long delays

Can't remember the name of the road but we stayed at a holiday inn a few miles away from the town centre, probably about 40mins drive. Had a hot tub, swimming pool, gym, great breakfast, really spacious family room. Could be worth looking into :) x
