To ask what you do with that extra hour?

My DD2 starts her after school club this week. It's one evening a week 3-4 and there's an array of different activities on offer. My question is if your children do an extra activity after school what do you do for that extra hour? Before pick up.

This week I've chosen to have a 20 minute nap (not feeling 100%) and now I'm going to give my dining room and kitchen a whizz over before I have to leave to collect her.

I'm not asking for anything other reason that being curious nosey

My sons have ended up picking different activities on different days so I pick one up at 3.15 and the other at 4.15 twice a week! So I have enough time for a quick coffe, chat with the one at home and then back out for the other one.
When they used to do it on the same day, I ended up going to do the food shop after work in peace before getting them

I have this quite a lot with DS and I’ve started using the time to sort out photographs! I have 1000’s saved on snapfish and I’ve been going through them and ordering photo books. Also early online Christmas shopping. I’m starting an OU degree so will be bringing my laptop to use in the car, using WiFi from my iPhone personal hotspot. If I was closer to home, I’d use it to do a bit of housework or a quick nap

@Mrsglitterfairy it sounds lovely having that time 1 on 1, my DD1 (teenager) finishes at 3 but she chooses to walk home with her friend so I don't get that time with her lol. I didn't end up doing the cleaning, had my nap and then social media catch up galore lol x

I have a nap, read, surf the web etc. I don't do any housework because, I can't complete it on one hour and it's not worth it. I leave those tasks for other times.

mumof2sarah · 02/10/2018 17:20

@Ironfloor269 I think that's what put me off doing it because I'd end up doing a bunch of little jobs and it driving me mad there was more to do lol x
