Then I read the back of the pack and it says not for under 16s. Does anyone know why? He is very big for his age - over 6ft. Panicking a bit.

Don’t worry! That’s the equivalent of 2 paracetamol which is his correct dose.

He will be fine. It just means the licence is for over 18s. If he is adult size, he will be fine. What is the dose of paracetamol in them & what would you usually give him?

Maybe it’s over 18 because of the caffeine content?

Its often because they haven't tested under 16 for reaction. It think a strapping 14 yo will be fine.

I wouldn't worry. He's adult sized and it's only paracetamol normal dose , phenylhrenine (decongestant) and a bit of caffeine. Not really for under 16s, as can cross barrier into growing brains, but he is unlikely to come to any harm from one off as long as it's not habitual use.

Caffeine, presumably.. better keep them off the Coke, then? OP, I understand teenagers should limit caffeine to a cup of coffee, or 2 or 3 colas a day as caffeine affects young brains more. Don't worry, giving him a couple of these tablets occasionally isn't going to do him any harm.

there's not any aspirin in it is there?? That's now contra indicated for the small! Reyes Disease I think it was

Pepto bismol has some in too...I had been recommended that for stomach upsets when mine were small but then the rules changed
