To have totally and utterly fallen in love with a house

Name changed as we haven't fully decided on moving yet...

We currently rent a very small 3 bed semi (we both own properties but can't live in them - story for another day!). We have a baby on the way as well as a 9 year old and so have been looking at other options as we probably can't buy for another 1-2 years at least. Not a money issue a credit issue that DP had with his ex.

Anyway, we went to view some houses at the weekend and I have fallen in love with one. As in I cannot stop thinking about it. It's honestly the most beautiful house and I genuinely feel like I'd be devastated if we couldn't move in there.

It's up for sale and rent so I worry it'll sell and the owner will go for that option rather than let it to us. I think it's my irrational pregnancy brain that is making me feel this way lol - we need to wait for the agent to call us back today...

What's annoying is there is nothing on the market like it as it is a very unique property. Don't get me wrong we're in no rush to move and if we can't move here we could wait for others but I don't know there's just something about this house...

Anyone else felt like this lol?!

I would try and talk to the owner, perhaps if you explain that you will be in a position to buy in a couple of years and would like to rent the house up until that point, then buy it. Worth a try at least if it's the one!

Get in there now and tell them you would like to rent and possible buy in 1-2 years? Then they are getting the best of both worlds
