Weston-Super-Mare childfree...

I am heading to Weston-Super-Mare for a few childfree days.

AIBU to ask for your recommendations as to what to do, what to see, and where to eat / have a drink? Having never visited this part of the country before I'd appreciate some guidance. I hear the Cheddar Gorge isn't too far?

Thanks!

Cheddar gorge is not far. The caves are pricey though. Personally I thought overpriced. Interesting though. There's a good national trust walk around cheddar though. Brean down is another good walk, also national trust. There's an interesting fort at the end of the walk. Glastonbury also has some nice walks. There's a museum nearby (Highbridge maybe? If that's a place??) That looks very oldy-worldy. Heard really good things about that, but haven't made it there yet.
My mum is down that way so I have done a fair few bits. What are your interests?
Oh and tyntesfield is worth a visit.

Thanks @Mumof1DS - I've heard of Tyntesfield so will look that up, thanks for the heads up on pricey gorges. I'm an avid walker having just done a lot of climbing in north Wales. Hence why Cheddar was of interest. Am also Nat Trust member which is helpful for that area.

I chose Weston-Super-Mare as I follow a band and they are playing there one of the nights I am staying. So I like live music, good food, coastal walks and cream teas!

The tea room on the end of the pier is lush.

Thanks @Spanglylycra - I'll definitely make time for that!!

Be warned you have to walk through the rest of the pier to get there which isn't pleasant but don't let that put you off! I think it's called Tiffany's and is very lovely.

@Spanglylycra - thanks for the heads up!
