Best ways to start planning Christmas funds? What way do you do it?

Me and DP are going away two weeks before Christmas so want to have majority of costs already paid. For presents for family members and eachother.

I do a work scheme where I put in €20 a week and you get it back in one 4 all vouchers in December so that'll be a few hundred.

I'd like to get shopping done in November but it's fun going in around in December/coming up to Christmas Eve Blush

What way do you Christmas shop/fund/budget?

Buy an extra bottle of wine when you go shopping and hide it. Buy extra toiletries to save boring shopping in your Christmas shopping.
Use up all the food you have in the house to put off food shopping by a few days.

Buy most of your Christmas presents before your fun Christmas shop.

I save up all year round starting in January. To be honest I don’t really have many to buy for so it doesn’t need to be that much.
From August I start buying an extra couple of things a week with my groceries, use by dates permitting.
Where you can suggest to other people to stop buying gifts.
In the sales in January buy gift wrap and cards reduced.
Maybe join one of the supermarket savings clubs and add a couple of pounds a week.

There’s a Christmas section on here filled with Christmas chat all year round, full of useful ideas
