To ask how to get replacement antibiotics? (UK)

DH just accidentally dropped 2yo DD's bottle of antibiotics for a UTI and it's smashed on the kitchen floor. She's only 1/2way through a 7 day course, so there's no question of just stopping treatment. Where do we phone first to get a replacement?

Your pharmacist might replace them, or at least give you enough to get through the weekend.

Alternatively you can call your GP out of hours service, but you’ll need to google to find the details for your area as it’s differwnt everywhere.

But I would definitely try the pharmacy first, they’ve often given me a few days worth of medicine without a prescription.

Take the remnants of the bottle to prove it, and go to whichever pharmacy dispensed it originally.

Try chemist first- they maybe able to re dispense it. I dropped bottle of oral stuf to treat oral thrush in 2 day old. 111 organised for chemist that I went to to sort it- but maybe try them directly first- may be less faff.

Ring 111 and explain to them what’s happened, they’ll be able to sort a new prescription or give advice on what to do.

Thank you everyone, DH on the line to 111 now, and we've stowed the remnants of the bottle with the label in a baggie for now.
