To expect quiet in next door hotel room now

I'm in a premier Inn with D's and we've just been woken by the family next door. Toddler and another kid playing/shouting/banging the wall a bit and at least two, but I'm sure more, adult voice s talking and laughing .

Like a bloody party in there. Aibu to complain, and if not would you do it via reception or direct? Never had anything like this before and it's fucking annoying.

Go to reception. Premier inns have excellent night managers and they will sort it out.

Definitely complain. Premier inns has a good night sleep guarantee (or words to that effect). They do everything they can to help and have even offered me a full refund on the past because of a disrupted night

I third ( or is it fourth? ) the recommendation to go and complain at the desk. Most premier Inns do all they can to ensure a good nights sleep.

I once mentioned to my DH as we waited to check out that the fire door next to our room was really squeaky and the receptionist immediately asked if we wanted a refund. We sort of looked at each other in amazement but then said yet. Full payment straight back on the card !

Always go through reception. It's their job to deal with disturbances.

You'll get your money back but the noise won't necessarily stop once kids are asleep especially if they're just loud talkers. Hope you have ear plugs for drunk sex at 1-4am next door too That was my last time at the P Inn. I was knackered!
