To think that a pram should come with a cosy toes?

We are in Scotland and it’s starting to get chilly. Frustratingly my pram ‘uppa baby vista’ did not come with a cosy toes. We chose it because it meets lots of our requirements in terms of weight and folding but AIBU to think that if a pram is being sold in this climate then one should be included?
I do not even mind buying one but I cannot find one to match or complement my pram colour. We have the Henry style vista. Does anybody have any recommendations?

None of them come with one - it’s an extra like every other extra. I just bought a mothercare one (£25) rather than the official iCandy one (£100!!) for my pram.

I have no idea what colour you have OP but you can buy an upperbaby one or one of the 100 generic ones on the market. John Lewis always has some very cosy ones.

I had the vista and bought a fleece one from John Lewis for about £25. I wasn’t bothered about it matching my pram colour though! I had the wheat coloured pram with a red and white cosy toes, no one seemed bothered that it didn’t match

I have an icandy and it doesn't come with a cosy toes either, to be honest, it wouldn't occur to me that it should be sold with one.
A lot of cosy toes are compatible with different pram so I just picked one I liked the look of and with good reviews off Amazon.

I have the same pram and had the same issue last year. I didn't get the same colour but got one from Mamas and Papas that fits well and matches. I agree when you pay so much for a pushchair it'd be nice to not have to buy anything else!

They sell Prams all over the world, why would they sell an added extra just to people in Scotland? How would they know where you lived? Just buy a separate one.

My cosato came with one, they even gave me a replacement when the rubber bit on the zip broke (still worked just didn't look as good).
But op if you needed one then you either check if it comes included or buy it at the time surely? Nothing to do with climate although I agree it's very cold here this morning. Just wrap blankets round your wee one.

It's easier for the pram company to sell them separately than sell it with cosy ties in some countries and without in others.

Plenty of them do come with a cosy toes - I've had a mothercare and Chicco pram with both had one included. Seems to be the more expensive ones they don't, presumably because they can male more money by selling you one separately. It really doesn't need to match though. You can get some lovely patterned ones or something like sheepskin.

My mil used to make her own 'cosy toes' for her kids and friends and family. Would knit warm blankets in the right size then sew them together then just sit the child in it in the buggy.

A lot of prams don’t come with cosy toes, which I think is ridiculous they should come as standard, like a rain cover! I think it’s just an extra way to make money as they are in my eyes a necessary item when you have a small baby in winter, sometimes blankets aren’t enough.

My cosatto came with a matching one, as PPs have said you can buy them from most places, SIL had a really lovely home made Cath kidston fabric one a lady on a Facebook group made and it was about £40 I think, so you get more choice especially if your pram is a neutral colour. The cosatto ones are generally quite bold patterns or colours so makes sense they come with matching cosy toes

They come in a box - usually standard all over the world. So the one you're buying in Scotland might have come from and been packaged in the same factory as the one someone else is buying in California. So it wouldn't make sense to include sun shades / rain cover / cosy toes. Shops sometimes do package deals, but it's not much of a hardship to find a cosy toes and buy separately.

I was glad mine didn't. I had lots of really lovely colourful blankets I wanted to show off!
If cosy toes came as standard in Scotland because it's colder, the prams would be more expensive to reflect the additional cost and then some people wouldn't be happy as they'd be paying more for something they didn't want.

It's no colder in Scotland than it is in most of England, Ireland or Wales. It's also cold in America, New Zealand, Germany etc etc you see my point.
Buggies don't come with sun shades in hot climates or rain covers in wet climates. Some some with some without . You should have researched more if you really wanted one to match.
Amazon, M&P, Argos and Mothercare all do generic ones.

I’ve never used a cosy toes (both DC born in winter) so I guess not everyone needs them? Layering blankets, sheepskin, winter all in ones work just as well.

I bought my footmuff(s) from EBay.
After paying a small fortune for the pram Bugaboo Chameleon fuck was I paying another £100 for the footmuff!!

Actually my parents seemed a bit bemused by the whole cosy toes thing, they just put us in pram suits 'in their day'.
